  1. I LOVE the beach, and that’s why, after 3 years of traveling full-time by RV, I persuaded my husband to take our travels to the sea and cruise Pacific Mexico in a sailboat.

The beaches here have a rugged quality – they aren’t dreamy and tranquil like some parts of the world. Down south, in Huatulco, we discovered a really beautiful surf that absolutely captivated us: http://roadslesstraveled.us/sailing-mexico-blog-playa-la-bocana-huatulco-mexico/

Great travels indeed! A friend of mine went sailing down the Pacific coast last year with another buddy, he got off the boat at Manzanillo and the other guy continued South…never to be seen again. Yikes! Nice shots as well, the waves do seem to be closeouts for surfing…thanks for stopping by Emily!

  2. I’m travelling the world, with one camera and one lens, taking street photography, mixing it with the locals, and writing about my experiences. I’ve been to 37 countries so far, and I have a growing audience who appreciate that people everywhere, when it comes down to it, are indeed, people.

  3. I love the splendid isolation that the sunbather enjoys – water tickling her feet and no-one around. Bliss!

  4. Andy says:

Very tough question… I wish that I could say all, but I think that my favorite that I have been to would have to be a beach in Sicily near Siracusa. Beaches are my thing, thanks for sharing!

  5. Sofia says:

Loved Pulau Perhentian Kecil, it’s such a great place to just get away from it all :)

  6. Ally says:

My favourite beach so far would be whitehaven but this one also looks beautiful!

  7. Kenny says:

Nice post. I plan to have a trip in this month to Malaysia. Maybe according to your suggestion I will visit this place as I love doing diving and snorkeling a lot. I have driven to Desaru, it is one of the beautiful places near Singapore, despite it is not an island. Do you have any suggestion about islands or beautiful beaches near Singapore?

    • maitravelsite says:

Hi Kenny. Frankly, not many. Singapore only has the park, you are probably better of making your way to the east coast of Malaysia…

  8. Alex says:

Nice beach, I hope there is a water sports there. Beautiful picture, I love beaches, I been to goa beach aound 6 times. I love the ambience, the people there, the food & cheap alcohol. Good post, thanks for sharing.

This photo reminds me of the beach which was shown in one of the TV shows “LOST”. I would love to visit this beach once in my life just because it is known for its diving spots. My personal favorite is Maldives, it is a perfect destination whether your dream beach trip consist of spending few pampered nights in a 4-star resort or swimming among tropical fish some 80 feet underwater. It is one of the best diving beaches I have ever seen.

  10. Harry says:

Malaysia has always been magical and it still continues to do so.I have not heard about the place that you have described but after doing some Google search i have got to know something about it.I will be visiting this place next month and i will surely remove sometime to visit this beach with my wife.

  11. Eastern Malaysia is so far. You say about good snorkeling? Can you show the photos?

  12. We were in the Perhentians early this year. The most fabulous beach I’ve been to!!!

My fave is the other Perhentian Island – Besar. It’s my all time favorite beach destination. I also love Hawaii but the water temp can be a bit cool compared to the bath like water in Asia.

  14. Paul says:

Malaysia has always been famous for its beaches. This beach is really nice and clean. I will definitely visit once when I go there. My favorite beach is Tanjong beach which is situated in Sentosa Island, Singapore. Here, you can sit for hours and hours with your favorite book and a gentle breeze for company. This beach gets especially romantic at night, with the twinkling lights of nearby ships providing a magical backdrop. Worth visiting this beach.

  15. Nolan says:

This is a great beach. The water was really clean and warm, and the beach is a bit nicer on the northern end towards Bubu Resort.

    • maitravelsite says:

      Hey Nolan,

It is, but Bubu resort is in Long Beach and this one is a 30 minute walk north from it, past the antenna and down the other trail. We never saw anybody at it while there!

  16. Megan says:

I love beaches and mostly the entire peaceful environment around the beach area. It is cool, low profile and mesmerising. Water sports add on to the fun. For the same, beaches in Miami are not less fun. They are beautiful, full of good visitors and an amazing variety of sea food.

  17. Steve says:

It is such a beautiful and clean beach that I cannot take my eyes off the picture. In addition, it is isolated and I guess there will be barely a few people that would not disturb my peace and the calm atmosphere. Thanks for sharing about this place, it seems really good.

  18. Jessica says:

Its a perfect sharing of photo…I like the ambiance of this beach..Perfect for a family vacation..
