Lovely post and photos! When you plan a trip to Bulgaria, don’t miss to visit the little charming villages in the countryside, the mystic Rhodope Mountains, Sozopol and Nesebar (both located at the Black Sea coast). If you have a chance to see a concert or a play in the ancient amphitheatre of Plovdiv, don’t skip it. It is a unique experience.

Bulgaria is very high on my places to visit. Living here in northern California, I’ve met quite a few Bulgarians. Love your photos! Makes me want to visit even more! The top two places for me are Sofia and Plovdiv but love your shots of the countryside as well!

Where is that third photo? That is the type of place I would love to visit!
