Swimming With Turtles in Oahu, Hawaii (Video)
Hawaii is the perfect place to enjoy all things water related, and not surprisingly it is also the ideal place to go swimming with turtles. If in Oahu the easiest way to accomplish this is by joining a tour that will take you to the west coast of the island, but if you feel like going on your own then head to Turtle Bay. This spot is superb to find these delightful creatures, but if you also want to go snorkeling Shark’s Cove, a popular spot, is only 10 minutes away. Watch the video and enjoy the travel tips!

Heaven is the word that comes to my mind after watching this video. Such beautiful life below the ocean often makes me feel a bit jealous as on earth, there is hardly any beauty left. Last year I went scuba diving in Hawaii and it was a lifetime experience. Finding all the sea animals having a wonderful time playing around. I hardly knew any names of what I saw down there, but I could sure say which ones were turtles.
Getting a chance to swim with Turtles is one thing which I would never miss. Loved reading your post! After reading it I am very excited to experience it. Also think Hawaii has really some of the beautiful places which are worth watching. Thanks for the wonderful post!
I loved this turtle video and could not resist falling in love with the turtle world too. I have done a lot of diving in Australia and New Zealand. But due to various reasons have not enjoyed the animals life in my own backyard. Thankfully, you have made me aware of that and I will most definitely be visiting it in 2012. I have already added that to my bucket list. Thanks for the sharing and keep traveling.

You must have had a great time by swimming with turtles. Oahu, is a very wonderful place to visit. As you have mentioned its not expensive, one will be getting more than expected. I always thought Hawaii has famous beaches, but it has got lot more than it! Will surely plan to visit this worth watching place! Thanks for posting!

beautiful! Hawaii is such a wonderful place to observe sea life… since it’s out there in the middle of the Pacific, you see lots of things you wouldn’t see elsewhere. Last time I saw I green sea turtle was in Kauai. I was jumping waves and something kind of smacked me. I turns out it was a green sea turtle saying hello! Loggerhead sea turtles nest during the summer along the coast here in SC. One time at the end of a pier here I saw a Leatherback sea turtle. The don’t next here but swim close to the shore during migration. Great vid!!

Hawaii was the first and only time I’ve swum with turtles. I love them. My college roommate bought me a little turtle so many years ago! Excellent video — as I’ve said before, your intro could convince even the staunchest couch potato to want to travel.
Glad you like it a Abby! About the intro, some sources have told me it is too long… I´m considering getting a shorter version…but then I like it as it is !

There is nothing like swimming with turtles and is still one of my favorite snorkeling experiences (and what got me hooked on the ocean!).

We swam with the turtles in Barbados for our honeymoon way back when. So magical!

Wow this is so fantastic, makes it very clear about where I should go for my next vacation. The water world always has caught my attention. Love watching films like “Free Willy”, “Dolphin Tale” and all the other sea world based films. I am so taking a trip to Hawaii and am making sure I book myself to Turtle Bay and Shark’s Cove.
