It was about time that I visited the Everglades on an air boat. I mean, can you believe that I actually lived in South Florida for more than two years ( a good decade ago) and never did this? It’s not that I didn’t know it existed, but I never really got to it. Anyhow, I finally did, and as expected it’s loads of fun. The farm itself is, well, what you might expect from these types of places, but getting out there and immersing yourself in the marshlands is a real beauty (perhaps more when I was there thanks to some fantastic weather). Skimming over the water in a terrain that is dominated by nature felt like a breath of fresh air after walking down South Beach just a few hours before, yet the place deserves a lot more time (in my opinion) than the 15 minutes you spend on the tour. In any case it is something I highly recommend, specially if traveling with children! Here is the video of the trip, or you can watch it on Youtube via this link if you’re reading this from your inbox.

Everglades are definitely a place that is on my list to visit. Haven’t traveled on an air boat. Did a similar adventure in Northern Territory, Australia in the wetlands searching for Crocs. Look forward to future posts.
Hey Dejav, thank’s for dropping by! I bet doing it in AU is just as fun as doing it in the Everglades..
I freaking love looking at gators. They look like dinosaurs!
Well, in a way they actually are 🙂
I’ve only flown with etihad in cattle class, but found it to be on par, if not better, than Air NZ and Emirate. Would fly with them again in a heart beat! Eyeing up business class too…:)
