Seattle Bed & Breakfast Inn

A Bed & Breakfast is like your home away from home. There’s something about sleeping in a house and not a building that immediately makes everything more cozy and warm, don’t you think? And if the house appears to have some history, management is friendly and the food is good then all the better. Seattle Bed & Breakfast Inn guesthouse is no exception.

We arrived late from Vancouver, but instructions on how to get in had already been sent by email and getting to within walking distance by bus was easy enough. The yellow house can be easily identified even at night, and once you reach it up the several steps you’ll be arriving to your new home, if for a few days.

The wooden house is covered by a carpet, the living room is spacious and our room was on the first floor, up a short flight of stairs, with a porch overlooking Seattle in the distance. It had plenty of space with a walk in closet and a table where to work on, as well as a couch and of course a TV. Bathrooms are shared, just a few steps from any room, with a shower and hair dryer.

And the breakfast…delicious. Fresh juice, yoghurt, coffee, tea, milk, fruit, toast, bakery, cereal, cheese and the best benedict eggs I have ever had were on the table. As in most B&B patrons were easy going and friendly, as was the owner, Shannon,  who joined the staff helping out while we were there.

Conclusion

Seattle Bed & Breakfast Inn Guest House is a comfortable, cozy place where to spend a night or more than one if needed. It may not be very close to downtown Seattle, but reaching it by bus is very easy and in my opinion worth it you want to spend the night in a quiet, residential neighborhood. Breakfast is second to none, management is friendly and helpful, and I heard that two couple who were visiting from Vancouver had been coming here for a few years already- I can’t say I’m surprised!
